Mission Statement

Aristotle Day School provides a developmentally appropriate bilingual (Greek-English) educational program and support to the children and families of the St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church and its surrounding communities.

School Philosophy

At Aristotle Day School we consider the children with every action we take.  We also recognize each child is special and unique.  Each child has feelings and is a whole person.  We believe learning should be a fun and exciting process.  Our developmental approach addresses the social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and physical needs of the “whole child.”

"Growing Hearts, Minds, and Souls"

Social and emotional growth is stimulated through large and small group activities such as dramatic play, music, movement and other creative activities.  To facilitate the acquisition of problem solving skills, the teacher acts as the model for communication skills and carefully guides the children through normal conflict and problem solving situations so that these important skills can be used independently as needed.  We look for strengths in each child and build on these.

Intellectual development is facilitated through the use of developmentally appropriate materials and equipment, and a curriculum planned by teachers trained in early childhood education.  Activities and experiences challenge the children while allowing them to achieve success.

Spiritual development is gained by real life concrete applications of our Orthodox Christian lifestyles.  Children gain knowledge about God, our Faith, traditions, and customs.Father Tilemahos Alikakos assists the teachers in this aspect of our curriculum.  The children attend church on designated church days.  For detailed dates, please view your monthly calendar.

Physical growth is accomplished by large and small motor activities available in both the indoor and outdoor play areas.  Our goal is to provide a warm, supportive environment in which each child can reach his or her full potential.
